Another birthday coming up

My sister's daughter turns 16 this Sunday and has been begging me to buy her some jewelry as a Sweet 16 Gift for her birthday. Their family has decided to throw a birthday party on the occasion. She is a real jewelry buff, but till now, her Mom has been quite strict with her regarding what she wears. I mean, she has not been allowed to wear lots of jewelry and make-up because she was too young. Now that she will be 16, however, her Mom says that she is grown up enough and will encourage it.
