Our company is starting some new ventures for which we have hired new personnel and sourced new raw material from various vendors. Since I am in charge of raw material procurement, I was given the task to purchase a new shipment of crane mats, timber mats, and hardwood mats. I did a lot of research on the internet before finally deciding upon the vendor I felt was the right choice for our company. We have a lot of uses for these mats. The uses are both on a large scale as well as a smaller scale.
On a large scale, since our company has interest in renewable sources of energy surging upward, we are starting some new wind power installation projects. When installing wind power turbines, we will have to go to where the wind resides, but those windy spots are also rocky, hilly, and otherwise unfriendly to our construction machinery. The heavy duty hardwood crane mats will provide a stable board road foundation from which our heavy machinery can operate. With crane mats and hardwood mats, our work will get done on time, and our tires and treads won’t be ruined. The vendor we have chosen makes the strongest mats in the industry, as they select only the strongest hardwoods to build their mats. They log the mats themselves to exact specifications, and their mechanical drilling system adds efficiency for faster, high-quality output, making each mat standard. I really liked the fact that they have their own rail logistics coordinator and trucking company operating 90 company-owned trucks. That means fast and on-time delivery. Moreover, they provide services for mobilization, installation, and removal, too, ensuring the job's done right. All of these factors impressed me a lot, and helped me to take the final call.
