Pancreatic cancer treatment

It is really shocking and saddening to note that the incidence of cancer is on the rise. One of my colleagues was just recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing pancreatic cancer treatment for it. I was totally zapped by this news and thus visited him today itself to offer my support and sympathy. I told him that I will always be there for him whenever he needs my help. I also asked him about what kind of treatment plan he is taking for this problem. He told me that his doctor has prescribed Tarceva (100 mg), which is a pill he has to take once a day — every day — to help treat pancreatic cancer in combination with gemcitabine. He told me that his doctor has told him not to take Tarceva with food, and that it is extremely important to take Tarceva either one hour before or two hours after eating.
